Glass Eye Razors is a small blacksmithing company owned and operated by Ben in Missoula, MT.
What’s in a name?
The name comes from his mother’s memories of her grandfather, who had a glass eye. During family dinner, he liked to take his eye out and put it in a shot glass next to his plate to amuse his two granddaughters. Many years later, Ben inherited this great grandfather’s straight razor and discovered a passion for the old school art of wet shaving. After learning how to forge, Ben began to make straight razors, and thus the name was born. While he has expanded to making knives and decorative hardware, the name is an important tie to the past.
